Greetings from a senior official
H.E. Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah
The noblest of sciences, are not those that merely seek novelty, but those that create hope and empowerment for the underprivileged. The noblest of initiatives, are not merely those that solve an individual problem, but are those that continue to bespeak a legacy of positive transformation in the lives of countless underprivileged individuals and societies. The noblest of human endeavors, are those undertaken with resilient determination and sacrifice, to alleviate the suffering of fellow human beings.
Al-Sumait Prize for African Development aspires to capture the nobility of the human spirit, and to nurture our collective faith in its innate disposition for the good. It continues the legacy of the man, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sumait, who dedicated his life to Africa, in the fields of food security, Healthcare, and education.
“Al Sumait prize aspires to capture the nobility
of the human spirit…”
